Third Largest Emirate in the UAE

The Emirate of Sharjah is the third largest in the United Arab Emirates, covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers (1,000 square miles). Approximately 75% of its population resides in its capital city, also named Sharjah, located on the Arabian Gulf coast north of Dubai. Sharjah also includes three coastal outlying districts in the east along the Gulf of Oman: Dibba, Khorfakan, and Kalba. This makes it the only one of the seven emirates that shares borders with all other emirates.[1]
