Process Engineer

PURPOSE & SCOPE: During tendering stage, responsible for the review of enquiry documentation and the Scope of Work, perform pre-bid engineering and provide required inputs for bid preparation. After award of Project, carry out allocated duties related to the preparation, and issue of Process & Safety deliverables. This responsibility includes site visits as required and close coordination with Lead Process Engineer, Project Engineering manager, Drafting Office Coordinator and occasionally with client's project team. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Reports to H.O.D. (Process & Safety) and works under his overall supervision. • Reports to Lead Process/ Safety Engineer for day to day work • During tendering stage, reviews enquiry documentation from client together with Scope of Work raises queries where there is lack of clarity, interfaces with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities and finally provide Process inputs during bid preparation. • For projects awarded to NPCC, perform as under: • Perform Site Visits for data collection / verification. • Develop Process Design Basis based on scope of work, subsequent client's clarifications and site visit. • Perform Process simulation and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required. • Perform Pipeline hydraulics. • Perform Flare hydraulics • Perform Fire water networking. • Perform Equipment/Instrument sizing calculations. • Prepares Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Process data sheets, and other Process deliverables. • Prepares Operating Manual and provide support during commissioning and performance run. • Coordinates with the Drafting Office Coordinator for the checking and issuing of drawings. • Provides input for the development of the Planning Package and project progress reporting. • Receives “as built” information from the Project Management Team, reviews content and, if satisfied, passes to drafting for production of drawings. • Trains Entry Level Engineers • Compliance in accordance with HSE standard. Skills Required MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute • Minimum of 3 years experience in the oil and gas plants Design and Engineering. • Extensive Knowledge and expertise in Process Simulation. Have good working experience with common process softwares like HYSIS, PIPESIM, PIPEPHASE; FLARESIM, PHAST PROFESSIONAL.,SAFETI etc. • Proven skills in routine process calculations and use of process software and in-house developed spreadsheets. • Good knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards. • Good command of written and spoken English and report writing. • Good interpersonal relationship. • Should be familiar with routine safety studies like HAZOP, HAZID, and SIMOPS etc.

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas To carry out maintenance duties offshore as directed by the Crane Supervisor or Crane Foreman. Assign, Direct, and manage lifting maintenance teams, to ensure specified tasks are performed efficiently, fulfilling the required standards. Direct and carry out the preventive tasks as per schedule for the proper upkeep of the equipment. Assess PM/CM/BK outcomes and failures to update PM scope. Plan and manage all predictive maintenance activities on all lifting equipment, in close consultation with the line Team Leader in order to execute in a safe, effective, efficient, and economical manner. Identify & analyze chronic problems, breakdowns, and malfunctions in order to perform effective remedial actions to minimize potential impacts on safety, environments, and production operations; including arranging spares, special tools, and material requirements and directing the team accordingly. Liaise with relevant personnel in Production, Safety & other Departments to obtain PTW, risk assessment, safe job analysis, and toolbox talks as per the activity requirement. Ensure that all maintenance and technical documentation is completed correctly, Prepare regular work reports and specific technical reports when required. and maintain record of all maintenance activities for easy access to any internal and external auditors and surveyors. Identify and evaluate critical asset spares inventory, consumables and special tools. initiate purchase requisitions as required to support and secure the operation requirements, consulting with line Team Leader. Follow up obsolete spare parts, check availability or equivalent and retrofit/upgrade/replacement of obsolete spares Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques. Must have excellent leadership skills and be able to motivate staff for teamwork. Good in the English language (reading, writing, and communication skills). Familiar with the use of computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP. Good working knowledge of MS Office programs. Have proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical equipment. Be verified as competent by NVQ (or equivalent) skills assessors against the competence criteria for maintenance of offshore pedestal cranes, overhead gantry cranes, lifeboats, life raft davits, and winches.
