Expressions of Gratitude to God

• There is no deity except Allah, alone without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and praise, and He is Almighty over all things.
• O Allah, all praise is Yours, as befits the majesty of Your countenance and the greatness of Your dominion. I seek forgiveness from Allah, exalted is He, praise be to Allah.
• Praise be to Allah, the utmost extent of praise. And gratitude to Allah, before and after.
• O Allah, all praise is Yours—abundant, pure, blessed—numbered by Your creation, by Your satisfaction, by the weight of Your Throne, and by the ink of Your words. O Allah, all praise is Yours, and thanks are Yours, until You are pleased, and praise and thanks are Yours when contentment comes, and praise and thanks are Yours forever and ever for Your favors.
• Praise be to Allah for my hearing, for my sight; praise be to Allah for my mind and body; praise be to Allah for my legs and feet; praise be to Allah for my shoulders and hands; praise be to Allah for my heart and lungs; praise be to Allah for my kidneys and liver; praise be to Allah for my mother and father; praise be to Allah for my siblings, the servants of Allah.
• Al-Khatib said: Hearing may mean acceptance and response. Thus, the prayer's phrase 'Allah has heard the one who praised Him' means that Allah accepted the praise offered by those who praised Him.
• Praise be to Allah in secret and in public; praise be to Allah in sorrow and in joy; praise be to Allah for what I know, and for what lies hidden from me; praise be to Allah for His boundless virtues and countless blessings, which surpass number. Praise be to Allah, then gratitude follows. Praise be to Allah for my gratitude and my praise.
• O Allah, Your favors toward us are countless—we cannot enumerate them, nor can we fully praise You. You are exalted, as You have praised Yourself, and You are self-sufficient, independent of all creation.
• Exalted are You, O our Lord. All praise and thanks are Yours—abundant, pure, blessed.
