Roles & Responsibilities Job Role To provide quality food and beverage service in restaurants, bars, lounges, beach & pool and room service. Ensures company implemented ISO 22000:2018 / FSSC Food defense/ HACCP Food safety management system and Hygiene, EHS standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provides link between kitchen and service areas as well as rooms. Provides table, counter or room service of all menu items including beverages. Update food and beverage knowledge required to carry out duties. Provides advice and recommendations on food and beverage to guests and customers. Receive and store food and beverage items adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures. Take all reasonable measures not to handle food or food contact surfaces in any way that is likely to compromise the safety and suitability of the food. Consistently monitors quality of food and beverage being served and reports any irregularity to line manager. Performs all assigned duties efficiently, technically correct following SOP and company procedures. Be aware and follow HACCP procedures and fire safety procedures. Follows and performs assigned tasks on time. Be aware of the reservations in the assigned sections. Is aware of the VIP in house list and arrival/departure of in-house guests. Arrange necessary mise-en-place and side stations where applicable. Greets the guest and presents the menus, takes food and beverage order from the guest by using selling techniques according to SOP. Greets the guest at the door and serves the order according to SOP. Knows all the drinks prices, cocktails, shooters, wine and champagne lists while constantly updating him/herself on new trends in F&B. Posts all orders on the POS and ensures all orders are prepared properly in both kitchen and bar. Served drinks and food according to posted guest order. Verifies that customers are satisfied with the food and beverage served as well as service and if not able to do service recovery, escalates the problem to line manager. Refills customer’s drinks order throughout the meal, where applicable. Offers additional drinks. Performs clearance where and when applicable. Resets the table for the next customer where and when applicable. Ensures that all trolleys in room service are fully laid out and ready to service. Actively uses upselling techniques and aims to exceed guest expectations and increase revenues while contributing to the departmental goals and objectives. Ensures timely reporting of malfunctioning equipment and any maintenance to the line manager. Reduces waste and supplies while re-using and recycling. Complies with company grooming and hygiene standards, adheres to the provisions outlined in the company policies, rules and procedures handbook. Attends all scheduled trainings and complies with time and attendance policies. Qualifications High School or equivalent. GED or Vocational education. Hospitality Education Food Hygiene – BASIC HACCP Awareness – BASIC Food safety and food hygiene specified by the standards/legislation. Minimum one-year experience in the same or similar role. 5-star hotel operation or high-volume stand-alone outlets that serves alcoholic beverages. Basic knowledge on alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Knowledge in food and beverage service standards.
