Onshore Workshop (Crane Component Overhaul): Support the onshore workshop in the disassembly, inspection, overhauling, and reassembly of crane components such as winches, hoists, drums, and gearboxes. Lead and manage the workshop teams in carrying out repairs, replacements, and reconditioning of crane components to ensure they meet operational specifications. Review technical manuals, drawings, and other documentation to ensure overhauled components are in optimal working condition. Oversee the testing and quality control procedures for overhauled crane components before they are shipped back to the offshore site. Ensure that workshop maintenance procedures and safety standards are strictly followed during overhauls and repairs. Coordinate the logistics of crane components being transported between the offshore facility and the onshore workshop, ensuring minimal operational disruptions. Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to ensure alignment of maintenance schedules, availability of spare parts, and timely delivery of overhauled components. Complete Job cards and daily reporting as required by Workshop Manager and Project Engineers. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanical, electrical, or crane maintenance fields are required. English Language (good written and vocabulary). Minimum of 8 years offshore experience with at least 2 in a supervisory role. Experience in strip down and rebuild of winches, motors and pumps. Experience in testing and pressure testing of crane components – cylinders etc Competent with Crane Maintenance and inspections. Able to understand Maintenance drawings / Hydraulic drawings / Isometric drawings etc. Ability to compile and complete technical maintenance procedures. Basic IT Skills – Word, Excel, etc. Preferred A degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related fields OPITO Approved BOSIET OGUK Medical. Desire to increase technical and management skills. Offshore experience. SAP system knowledge. Behaviors and Personal Qualities Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise teams in both offshore and onshore settings. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex crane maintenance tasks. Proficient in using maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and reporting. Good understanding of crane overhauls and component reconditioning processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with offshore/onshore teams and management. Safety-first approach. Flexible attitude to working hours and shift patterns in order to get the job done. Personal integrity that can be a role model for all other members of staff.
