Senior Solution Architect - Leading UAE bank

We are hiring a Senior Architect for one of our prestigious banking clients. This role will be a critical part of the Architecture Chapter responsible for developing and enforcing technology standards and building resilient, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across application design, cloud-native ecosystems, and security, while also mentoring junior architects and ensuring architecture consistency across teams. Responsibilities: Solution & Domain Architecture Develop architecture frameworks, standards, and reusable blueprints. Deliver end-to-end solution designs aligned with business and product requirements. Architect applications (web/mobile), microservices, and supporting systems in alignment with enterprise patterns. Ensure alignment with internal best practices, user journey principles, and ENBD architecture standards. Technical Leadership Architect and integrate cloud-native applications using Kubernetes/OpenShift and modern containerization techniques. Incorporate best practices in authentication, authorization, encryption, and logging. Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with internal security and regulatory requirements. Lead solution integration with APIs, message brokers, microservices, and external systems. Governance & Enablement Conduct peer reviews, architecture walkthroughs, and workshops within the team. Support architectural decision-making with strong documentation and stakeholder collaboration. Contribute to reusable design patterns and chapter-level architectural maturity. Stay current on new technologies, especially in cloud, security, and app modernization. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years in designing enterprise-scale applications (web/mobile), APIs, and microservices. 5+ years working with container technologies, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or OCI). 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Information Security disciplines. Strong understanding of architecture patterns, modern integration techniques, and digital banking solutions. Experience with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., Sparx, ArchiMate), and data modeling tools. Preferred Skills: Prior experience in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) domain. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking environments. Behavioural Competencies: Solution-oriented, with a delivery-focused mindset.
