## **Kairos Discussion** ### *What does it mean to have a real healthy connection with yourself? with others?* Following our last discussion about **loneliness and solitude**, we reached a conclusion that every human experiences loneliness in some form during their life. It’s a state we feel and then project onto our lives. **Existential isolation** is inevitable — but against that, how can we build our defense? How can we create *real connections* that become our support against this existential dilemma? It first begins with **solitude**, learning how to build a real connection with ourselves. Does it start through *acceptance*, *self-talk*, *compassion*, through *art*, or through a form of *positive inner dialogue* that can overcome the louder negative voices within us? Then comes the question of **building bridges toward others**: What about our relationships with family, friends, and others? How can we strengthen them and make them more genuine and connected? In this discussion, we’ll dig deeper into these ideas and hear from each other — sharing our experiences and how each of us answers this question. ### **Kairos Rules** Our rules are simple: 1️⃣ **Respect:** Be kind and considerate toward others. 2️⃣ **Listen fully:** Allow people to finish their thoughts before responding. *(Art of interruption)* 3️⃣ **Balance the space:** Take your turn to speak, but also give others equal room to share.
