A mid-sized industrial group seeks a hands-on Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations for its manufacturing division. The role combines classic cost-and-management-accounting tasks with ERP ownership in ODOO and strong use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Candidates must bring solid UAE experience, including VAT compliance and familiarity with local banking practices. 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting Post journal entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliations in ODOO Close monthly books, prepare trial balance, and support year-end audit Reconcile inter-company and related-party balances 2. Cost & Inventory Accounting Maintain BOM costing, standard vs. actual variance analysis Perform monthly physical inventory counts & reconciliations Monitor WIP valuations and scrap reporting 3. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations and ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in monthly closings, financial reporting, audit preparation, and supporting budget activities. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and trends. Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. Collaborate with FP&A and other departments for financial analysis and reporting.
