PROJECT ASSISTANT

Job Title: Project Assistant Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Job Type: Full-time Department: Project Assistance – Food Industry (Flour Mill, Pasta, Noodles, Sugar Mill, Rice Mill, Vegetable Oil Mill) ________________________________________ About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Project Assistant with a mechanical engineering background to join our team in the UAE. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial projects within the food manufacturing sector, including flour, sugar, pasta, and rice processing plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of project costing, supplier coordination, and technical drawing skills using AutoCAD. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects in flour mills, sugar mills, pasta/noodle lines, rice mills, and vegetable oil mills • Support project costing, budget tracking, and financial documentation • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and order fulfillment • Prepare and maintain technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD • Maintain and update project documentation and reports • Track project timelines and ensure deadlines are met • Communicate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution • Support the project manager in administrative, logistical, and engineering-related tasks ________________________________________ Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or food processing project environments • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Strong understanding of project costing and budget tracking • Experience in dealing with equipment suppliers and contractors • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting • Willingness to travel to project sites if needed
