The primary responsibility will be sourcing, purchasing, and selling physical oil products, ensuring the best commercial deals, and managing the end-to-end supply chain. This role requires strong relationships with suppliers and buyers, a thorough understanding of market dynamics, and expertise in logistics.   Job Responsibilities As an Oil Trader – Physical, your responsibilities will include: Commodity Market Analysis: Analyze global oil markets with a focus on commodities trading. Assess supply/demand fundamentals, price trends, and geopolitical events to identify profitable trading opportunities. Sourcing and Trading: Negotiate and execute trades for physical oil products (crude oil and refined commodities). Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, refineries, and end users. Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure seamless movement of oil commodities, including tank-to-tank transfers, vessel chartering, and storage management. Risk Management: Monitor and manage risks associated with physical commodity trading, including market, credit, and operational risks. Implement hedging strategies where necessary. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on trade contracts, ensuring favorable terms for delivery, pricing, and quality. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all trades comply with international regulations and internal policies. Maintain accurate trade documentation, contracts, and shipping details. Performance Monitoring: Track and assess the performance and profitability of trades, making timely adjustments to strategies as required. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should: Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Have 5+ years of experience in physical oil trading with a focus on commodities, and a strong track record of profitable deals. Demonstrate a deep understanding of commodity market dynamics, including supply chains, pricing structures, and trade documentation. Possess excellent negotiation skills and experience in managing complex transactions. Have established relationships with key market participants (suppliers, refineries, and customers). Be knowledgeable in international trade regulations and logistics management. Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.

Job Title: Part-Time Senior Compliance Officer (SM16/17) – Dubai We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Compliance Officer (SM16/17) to join a leading energy markets firm in Dubai on a part-time basis. The role sits at the intersection of Financial Crime Compliance and Regulatory Compliance. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight while remaining actively involved in operational tasks, ensuring that compliance standards are robust, effective, and aligned with regulatory expectations. This position is part-time initially, with the intention to transition into a permanent, full-time role in the future. Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with DFSA, FSRA, and other relevant UAE regulations. Monitor changes in local and international regulatory requirements impacting energy markets and trading activities. Draft, review, and update compliance policies, procedures, and manuals as necessary. Oversee regulatory reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Financial Crime Compliance (FCC): Develop and manage the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF), Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), and Sanctions frameworks. Perform ongoing risk assessments of business activities and clients, ensuring appropriate due diligence measures are in place.
