Description

Main Duties 1. Assist the hostesses in greeting and seating guests. 2. Continuously maintains cleanliness and order in and around the restaurant, service stations and back of house areas. 3. To complete any set-up and closing duties assigned to the station. 4. To practice "full hands in and full hands out" throughout the shift. 5. Report to Service Supervisor/Restaurant Manager. 6. Check duty allocation and table plans for the shift. 7. Check the service station set-up and complete according to the checklist attached to the service station and check. 8. Dusting, vacuum cleaning and polishing of furniture. 9. Prepare all table set -ups in accordance to table plan, guest-list and menu. During service 1. Assist with meeting, greeting and seating of guests and follow the 4 steps of service. 2. Present menus to guests – host first, then ladies and other guests according to seniority. 3. Inform guests of any daily specialties recommend items as appropriate. 4. Check delivery of beverages is timely and correct. 5. Reconcile cash and credit payments and follow banking procedures (if applicable). 6. Check that food and service is to the guest’s satisfaction, and that guests have everything they require 2 minutes after delivery of each course. 7. Ensure smooth operations throughout the service. 8. Ensures that bill presentation and collection of payment is done consistently according to Mamaesh standards. 9. Thank guests for their visit, encourage repeat visit (inform about future events, and take bookings if appropriate), bid guests farewell and assist with departure. 10. Final check on table for any guest property left behind. 11. Ensure that table is cleared and re-laid if necessary. 12. Completes basic food hygiene trainings. 13. Show high importance on personal hygiene and grooming. 14. Ensure throughout the shift, hair nets are worn without fail and wear gloves when handling food. 15. Complete station training checklist and get Working Hours Total of 10 hours per day including 1-hour break. SCOPE OF WORK Create an environment to satisfy all customers at Mamaesh. Adheres to personal presentation and grooming standards. Ensures all Health, Safety Systems and Practices are adhered. Honest, reliable, professional, competent and knowledgeable.
