AUTOMOTIVE GARAGE GENERAL MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the operations of our automotive garage in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automotive servicing, particularly for Chinese car brands and electric vehicles, and a strong track record in managing teams and optimizing workshop operations. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to drive profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the garage, including service bays, customer service, parts, and diagnostics. Lead and manage a team of technicians, service advisors, and administrative staff. Ensure high-quality servicing and diagnostics of Chinese Car brands and EV brands (e.g., BYD, Changan, Geely, MG) Develop and implement SOPs for workflow efficiency, safety, and quality control. Maintain compliance with RTA and local garage licensing regulations. Handle parts sourcing, especially from Chinese vendors, UAE and manage relationships with suppliers. Monitor and control operational costs, margins, and labor efficiency. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, focusing on service quality and upselling opportunities. Manage inventory levels, ordering processes, and minimize stock variances. Report on business KPIs, garage performance, and recommend operational improvements to ownership. Key Experience Required: 10 years’ experience in automotive repair and service operations. 5 years experience in a leadership/managerial role within a garage or dealership. Proven expertise in Chinese vehicle brands and EV servicing/diagnostics. Familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements, including RTA and municipal licensing. Experience in parts procurement, with a focus on Chinese-sourced components. Manadatory UAE driving License Dubai based Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership, staff training, and performance management skills. Deep technical knowledge of both ICE and EV systems. Excellent customer service and upselling abilities. Effective cost control, budgeting, and inventory management. Ability to manage vendor relationships across local and international markets. Bilingual: English and Arabic required; Mandarin is a strong advantage. Diploma or Degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
