About the Role We’re hiring an experienced Accountant to join our finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of our contracting business. This role is hands-on and central to ensuring that invoicing, reconciliations, and project-related accounting are handled accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Verify and process supplier invoices in line with contracts, delivery notes, and internal approvals. - Prepare and issue client invoices in coordination with project and commercial departments. - Manage petty cash transactions, documentation, and month-end closing. - Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and subcontractor balances. - Post journal entries and assist with monthly and year-end closing. - Maintain accurate financial records and assist in internal and external audits. - Coordinate with site and project teams to resolve discrepancies or clarify entries. - Support the implementation of financial controls across projects and departments. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in a main contracting or construction company. - Solid understanding of general accounting, project-based financials, and reconciliation processes. - Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems. - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in financial documentation. - Ability to manage workload independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Preferred - Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and reporting. - Experience with WPS, payroll coordination, or cash flow reporting. - Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and fast-paced project-based settings.
