Role Overview The Sales Support Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support to our sales team, facilitating the successful promotion and sales of our Entrance Control products and solutions in the Middle East region. This role involves providing first and second level sales support to the Entrance Control Sales Team in the physical security field, offering the necessary technical support and follow-ups on key project requirements. It requires a blend of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and sales acumen to effectively communicate product benefits and address customer inquiries. The position also entails providing onsite technical support to various Channel Partners, preparing commercial offers for both direct and transactional business, and preparing technical submittals and prequalification documents. Responsibilities Provide sales and technical support to the Entrance Control sales team in the Middle East region, including product demonstrations and technical consultations. Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions. Preparation of sales proposals, quotations, commercial offers, and technical documentation for both direct and transactional business. Prepare technical submittals and prequalification documents. Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitor activities in the Middle East market. Work closely with the product development and engineering teams to provide feedback on product performance, features, and enhancements based on customer feedback and market insights. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market intelligence using the Gunnebo CRM software. Provide technical support to Channel Partners. Provide post-sales technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, product installation, and training as needed. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to our products and solutions in the Middle East region. Manage and monitor spare part requirements Requirements Electronics | Engineering degree level, with 3+ years of experience in a technical sales support or similar role, preferably in the Middle East market. Excellent experience in the field of physical security systems (Entrance Control, High Security “HVM” products, Integrated Security solutions, etc.). Excellent communication skills in English are required – proficiency in Arabic will be an advantage. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility with customers and internal teams. Experience in providing onsite technical support to Channel Partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software. Experience with technical drawing software is an advantage. Exhibits excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges effectively.
