Van Operations Manager (Sales) – FMCG (Food Distribution)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Van Operations Manager (Sales) to oversee our van sales operations within the FMCG (Food) sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing van sales teams, optimizing route-to-market (RTM) strategies, and driving revenue growth while ensuring smooth day-to-day distribution and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of van sales representatives and drivers to achieve daily, monthly, and annual sales targets.
• Develop and optimize route-to-market strategies to maximize coverage, efficiency, and profitability.
• Monitor van sales performance (volume, revenue, margin, and distribution KPIs) and implement corrective actions when required.
• Ensure execution of promotions, new launches, visibility drives, and product activations through van sales channels.
• Train, coach, and motivate van sales staff to improve selling skills, customer service, and overall productivity.
• Manage stock planning for van operations, ensuring accurate loading, replenishment, and returns.
• Coordinate with supply chain, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
• Conduct market visits to monitor in-field execution, gather customer feedback, and assess competitive activity.
• Prepare and analyze sales reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and food handling requirements.
• Drive operational efficiency while controlling costs and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Supply Chain (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in van sales/operations within FMCG (Food/Beverage), with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large sales teams.
• Strong knowledge of van sales systems, RTM models, and FMCG distribution dynamics.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Analytical and commercially minded, with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/van sales automation systems.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
