Position Objective We are seeking a visionary and highly skilled Lead Product Designer to join our Product function in Dubai. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and elevating the user experience and visual design across our suite of innovative fintech products. You will lead a talented team of designers, set design strategy, and collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive, engaging, and compliant financial solutions. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership & Strategy: Define and champion the overall design vision, strategy, and guidelines for our fintech products, ensuring consistency and excellence across all platforms. Translate complex financial concepts and user needs into elegant, simple, and delightful user experiences. Drive the evolution of our design system, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and brand consistency. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, UX, fintech and digital assets. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product, UX, and UI designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide constructive feedback, guide career development, and ensure high-quality design output from the team. Oversee design project allocation, ensuring efficient resource utilization and timely delivery. User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI) Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end design process from user research, wireframing, prototyping, user flows, and information architecture to high-fidelity UI designs. Champion user-centered design methodologies, conducting and facilitating user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate design decisions. Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and comply with relevant financial regulations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand business requirements, define product roadmaps, and integrate design seamlessly into the development lifecycle. Work hand-in-hand with Engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, smooth implementation, and a high-quality final product. Present design concepts, rationale, and user insights to stakeholders at all levels, influencing decision-making and securing buy-in. Quality Assurance & Iteration: Conduct design reviews and provide critical feedback to ensure design quality, consistency, and adherence to established standards. Promote an iterative design process, encouraging continuous refinement based on data, user feedback, and evolving business needs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or senior design role. Mandatory: Proven experience designing complex digital products within the FinTech or Financial Services industry. (Please highlight this experience in your application and portfolio). A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, demonstrating expertise in UX research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro). Expertise in conducting user research, usability testing, and synthesizing insights into actionable design recommendations. Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how design translates into code. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate design decisions to diverse audiences. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Relevant FinTech experience and in-depth digital assets knowledge Knowledge of local and international financial regulations and compliance considerations in design is a significant plus.
