Job Purpose The Engineering Projects section specializes in evaluating, specifying, and negotiating new and used aircraft acquisitions. We oversee the entire process, from initial evaluation and assembly inspection to final delivery and acceptance. We develop detailed specifications for aircraft and new system installations, including Passenger Entertainment and Connectivity Services (IFE) and Cabin Interiors. Our team ensures that all regulatory requirements, safety standards, functionality, and maintainability are met for each aircraft's entry into service. As a Project Engineer, you will provide technical expertise during the design and development of Emirates aircraft products in their respective fields i.e. Avionics, In Flight Entertainment (IFE), Cabin Interior, Airframe systems, Power Plant Engineering and Structure. To specify the Emirates aircraft definition to ensure that they are correctly configured prior to delivery and that all Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) and Seller Furnished Equipment (SFE) programmes are delivered as per the specification and on time. In this role, you will: Evaluate information from various sources including Vendors, in house experience of in-service equipment and industry research/developments, in order to facilitate the selection of BFE (i.e. IFE , communication/navigation equipment, galleys and seats etc.) in future aircraft. Prepare recommendations for the introduction of new equipment selection for both future and in-service fleets, taking into account new trends within the industry.
