About Us We are launching a premium café in Muwaileh Commercial - Al Zahia - Sharjah, blending Japanese tea culture with French pastry artistry. Our signature offerings will include matcha beverages, fine teas, artisanal desserts, and elevated light café meals. The café is designed to be a destination for food lovers and content creators, where every dish is crafted for both flavor and visual impact. --- Position Overview We are seeking innovative Pastry & Cake Chefs specializing in Japanese–French fusion desserts and custom confectionery. This role is perfect for a chef who treats pastry as edible art, capable of designing over-the-top, camera-ready creations that command attention online and in-store. You will be responsible for complete menu creation, execution, and daily kitchen operations. --- Key Responsibilities Develop a signature menu featuring fusion pastries, cakes, confectionery items, and light café dishes (e.g., sandwiches, salads, toast plates, savory croissants, etc.). Incorporate Japanese flavors such as matcha, yuzu, hojicha, azuki, black sesame, kinako, etc., into French-style formats like entremets, éclairs, mille-feuille, macarons, croissants, and prafiat. Design products with exceptional visual presentation suitable for social media exposure. Create seasonal and customizable desserts for special occasions and gifting. Oversee ingredient sourcing, kitchen organization, staff training, and food safety standards. Collaborate on launch campaigns, tasting events, and seasonal showcases. --- Requirements An enthusiastic Pastry Chef, Pâtissier, or Confectionery Specialist, with Japanese or French experience preferred. Strong creative portfolio demonstrating visually stunning desserts. Passion for experimentation and modern flavor pairing. Ability to operate independently and build systems from the ground up.
