Roles & Responsibilities Expertly cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat, ensuring optimal presentation and quality for customers. Skillfully debone, portion, and grind meats as requested by customers, showcasing a strong understanding of different cuts. Monitor inventory levels of meats and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure freshness and availability. Perform regular equipment maintenance and cleaning, ensuring all tools and machinery are in top working condition. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff, sharing techniques and best practices to enhance team efficiency. Desired Candidate Profile High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on culinary arts or meat processing preferred. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a butcher shop, grocery store, or meat processing facility. Certification in food safety or meat handling is a strong advantage, demonstrating commitment to industry standards. Ability to operate various butchering tools and machinery safely and effectively, showcasing technical proficiency. Strong understanding of meat cuts, cooking methods, and flavor profiles, offering expertise to customers. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy cuts of meat and stand for long periods during shifts. Attention to detail, ensuring precision in cuts and adherence to quality standards in every task. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet customer demands.
