PhD in English Literature with over 35 years experience teaching IBDP, MYP, IGCSE, GCSE, IELTS, SAT

With over three decades of teaching English language and literature, I have taught at the undergraduate levels as well as for the IBDP, MYP, IGCSE and GCSE boards. My efforts have always been directed at the areas of difficulty students face - whether it is language analysis and the power of language and its myriad nuances and devices, or literary criticism, authorial choices or understanding the theme, characterization etc. It is my aim to make every class a meaningful and engaging. There is practical work as well as theory done with rich and careful explanations. Feedback for homework is always given on time, so that students benefit. All in all, my love for teaching has guided me through my career. I have found it to be a rewarding and enriching experience, for I have learned a lot from my students.
