Vintage Dhow Wood Coffee Table

This coffee table is bespoke custom made and cant be purchased in any shop. length 105cm, width 60cm, height 48cm Made out of solid African teak wood from a de-commissioned Dhow Ship. The wood is treated and varnished for a 2nd life in a living room or as part of the garden furniture. It still carries the old bolts which kept the dhow planks together. To do justice to the maritime purpose of the wood, for the legs an original heavy duty ship chain has been used, where the links have been welded together. This piece is an immediate conversation starter and is a time testament to the past maritime trading history between the UAE and the countries in the gulf and Indian ocean.
