Experience & Skill Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. • Proven experience as a Chemist in laboratory settings with a focus on testing and analysis. • Strong understanding of chemical testing methodologies, instrumentation, and procedures • Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, especially for handling and testing volatile and hazardous materials. Responsibilities: • Conduct chemical and physical testing on refined products and raw materials, ensuring adherence to industry and regulatory standards. • Identify and report hazardous or unsafe situations related to chemical testing, handling, and laboratory practices, ensuring compliance with HSE standards. • Assist in incident investigations within the lab, perform root cause analysis, and report findings to management for risk mitigation. • Oversee the preparation, labeling, and handling of samples, and ensure laboratory equipment is maintained to support accurate and reliable testing. • Accurately record test results, maintain logs, and report safety and testing outcomes as required by company policies and regulatory bodies.
