Description

Main Responsibilities: ☕ 1. Beverage Preparation • Prepare all coffee and espresso-based drinks (e.g., espresso, americano, cappuccino, latte, flat white) according to store recipes and presentation standards. • Brew and serve tea, matcha, and other hot/cold beverages. • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and appearance of all drinks. ? 2. Food Handling & Presentation • Warm and serve pastries, baked goods, and light snacks according to safety and hygiene guidelines. • Assist in the arrangement and restocking of food displays. • Check product expiry dates and manage daily food waste logs. ? 3. Cleanliness & Hygiene • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times (espresso machines, grinders, counters, sinks). • Follow daily cleaning checklists (morning prep, shift change, and closing duties). • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations (Dubai Municipality requirements). ? 4. Customer Service • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently. • Handle customer questions, complaints, and special requests professionally. • Promote new products, seasonal drinks, and specials. • Remember and recognize repeat customers to build loyalty. 5. POS & Cash Handling • Operate the point-of-sale system for billing and order tracking. • Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments accurately. • Reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. 6. Inventory & Stocking • Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, cups, lids, napkins, and syrups. • Alert the manager when stock is low or nearing expiration. • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries. 7. Opening & Closing Duties • Arrive on time and assist in setting up the store for opening (grinder calibration, machine warm-up, stock prep). • Perform closing checklist: cleaning, machine backflush, stock count, and waste log. • Ensure the store is secure and ready for the next shift. ⚙ 8. Equipment Care • Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and blenders daily. • Report technical issues immediately to the manager. • Follow proper procedures for descaling, backflushing, and basic maintenance.
