1. Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Static Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The incumbent will be responsible for the detailed mechanical design and engineering of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping systems in compliance with ASME, TEMA, API, and applicable client specifications. The role offers an opportunity to work from the bidding and proposal stage to execution and fabrication, including direct client interfacing and participation in ASME Code Stamp certification audits. ________________________________________ 2. Key Responsibilities • Perform mechanical design and analysis of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and piping systems as per ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, ASME B31.3, TEMA, API standards. • Prepare and review design calculations, data sheets, drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and technical specifications. • Conduct design verification using software tools such as PV-Elite, CodeCalc/Compress, NozzlePRO, and manual hand calculations where required. • Develop and review general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, nozzle schedules, and detailed engineering deliverables using AutoCAD. • Provide technical inputs during proposal/bidding stage for preliminary sizing, weight estimation, and technical clarifications. • Coordinate with clients, third-party inspectors, certification bodies (ASME auditors), and internal engineering and fabrication teams. • Address client technical queries and comments during design reviews and implement approved modifications. • Provide ongoing support during procurement, fabrication, testing, inspection, and erection phases. • Prepare documentation for and actively participate in ASME U-Stamp and R-Stamp audits. • Ensure all design deliverables adhere to project specifications, industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality procedures. ________________________________________ 3. Required Skills and Competencies • Strong understanding of ASME Section VIII Div.1 & 2, ASME B31.3, TEMA, API 660, API 650, and related codes. • Proficiency in: o PV-Elite / Compress / CodeCalc o NozzlePRO o AutoCAD (2D drafting and detailing) • Sound knowledge of ASME Section II (Materials) and ASME Section IX (Welding). • Analytical, problem-solving, and strong communication skills. • Proven ability to interface with clients and third-party agencies. • Experience in managing ASME certification audits. • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. ________________________________________ 4.
