Job Description for Salon Manager Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Salon Manager to oversee the daily operations of our salon. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the beauty industry, skilled in team leadership, and capable of ensuring a high-quality customer experience while driving business growth. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Staff Management: o Train, and supervise stylists, beauticians, and other salon staff. o Create and manage staff schedules. o Monitor performance and conduct regular team meetings and evaluations. • Customer Service: o Ensure excellent customer service is consistently provided. o Handle client complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner. o Monitor and improve client satisfaction and retention. • Salon Operations: o Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the salon. o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. o Manage inventory of supplies and equipment; order stock as needed. • Sales & Marketing: o Promote salon services and products through in-store promotions and local marketing. o Work with the marketing team to implement campaigns, loyalty programs, and social media strategies. o Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals. • Financial Management: o Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales and expenses. o Prepare reports for management/owners. o Manage payroll and ensure accurate timesheets. ________________________________________ Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Salon Manager or in a similar leadership role in the beauty industry. • Strong leadership and team-building skills. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Knowledge of salon services, products, and current beauty trends. • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. • Proficient in basic business software (POS systems, scheduling software, Excel, etc.). ________________________________________ Preferred: • Certification in Cosmetology or Beauty Therapy (optional, depending on location) • Experience with salon software (e.g., Fresha, Vagaro, Mindbody) • Sales or marketing experience in a salon or retail environment ________________________________________ Work Environment: • Fast-paced and customer-facing. • Requires standing for long periods. • May require evening or weekend shifts depending on salon hours.
