Master Tailor

Job Title: Master Tailor – Men’s Bespoke & MTM Suits Location: Dubai, UAE We are hiring an expert Master Tailor specialising in men’s suiting to lead bespoke and made-to-measure production in our Dubai atelier. The ideal candidate combines impeccable hand skills with client-facing finesse and a deep understanding of luxury menswear. Key Responsibilities Draft individual patterns from measurements; hand-cut cloth for jackets, trousers, and waistcoats. Construct full-canvas and half-canvas suits: pad-stitch lapels, shape chest pieces, set sleeves, form roped/soft shoulders, shape collar and lapel roll. Conduct fittings (baste/forward/finish), diagnose balance and posture issues, and execute precise alterations. Produce hand-finished details: Milanese/buttonholes, pick-stitching, bar tacks, lining and edge work to luxury standard. Manage MTM orders: size/block selection, spec adjustments, measurement checks, QC on delivery. Supervise and train junior tailors/finishers; maintain workflow, pressing, and finishing standards in the workshop. Liaise with clients and stylists to advise on cloth, cut, and construction for Dubai’s climate and lifestyle. Requirements 10+ years in bespoke or high-end MTM menswear, with a portfolio of completed suits. Mastery of hand and machine tailoring: canvassing, pattern drafting, trouser and waistcoat construction, complex alterations. Strong fitting expertise and garment balance corrections (shoulder slope, stance, chest/seat, sleeve pitch). Familiarity with luxury cloth mills (e.g., Loro Piana, Zegna, Dormeuil, Holland & Sherry, Scabal) and lining/trim standards. Excellent client communication in English; professionalism and discretion with VIP clientele. Ability to manage deadlines and uphold consistent quality at scale.
