Position: Senior Accountant Salary and Benefits: - AED 4,000 per month + Monthly Bonus - Overtime Pay - Medical Insurance - Visa Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). • ⁠UAE VAT Certification is an added advantage. • ⁠3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. • ⁠Experience in the car rental, automotive, transportation, or fleet management sector is an advantage. • ⁠Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting (especially vehicle depreciation, disposals, etc.) • ⁠Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling) • ⁠Experience in fleet costing, revenue tracking, and vehicle expense reconciliation. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Accounting and Reporting • Oversee the preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations. • ⁠Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes. • ⁠Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial records to ensure accuracy. 2. Revenue and Cost Management • Monitor daily revenue from rentals, leasing, and ancillary services (insurance, GPS, etc.). • ⁠Track direct and indirect costs including depreciation, fuel, maintenance, and fines. • ⁠Conduct margin analysis and recommend ways to optimize profitability. 3. VAT and Regulatory Compliance • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, including preparation and submission of VAT returns. • ⁠Maintain proper documentation for all taxable and zero-rated transactions. • ⁠Coordinate with auditors and government authorities for tax audits and inspections. 4. Budgeting and Forecasting • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with senior management. • ⁠Monitor actual vs. budgeted performance and analyze variances. • ⁠Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies and fleet acquisition decisions. 5. Fleet Asset Accounting • Manage accounting for vehicle purchases, sales, depreciation, and write-offs. • ⁠Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and monitor their useful life and residual values. • ⁠Coordinate with operations to align financial data with fleet utilization and condition. 6. Internal Controls and Audit • Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. • ⁠Support internal and external audits, preparing all required financial data and reports. • ⁠Identify risks and recommend improvements in accounting policies and processes. 7. Cash Flow and Banking • Monitor company cash flow, receivables, and payables to ensure liquidity. • ⁠Oversee bank reconciliations, fund transfers, and treasury management. • ⁠Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions. 8. Team Management • Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency. • ⁠Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and support training and development. • ⁠Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement. 9. Coordination with Other Departments • Work closely with operations, sales, and fleet management to ensure financial alignment. • ⁠Support management in pricing decisions, lease structuring, and business strategy. • ⁠Assist in resolving client disputes related to billing, fines, or refunds.
