Continuation of the previous meeting. The previous recordings: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLm2NBp4tb5F1_SWoHxXi5LIyCAzWivZZt I teach Python programming to master's and PhD students in life sciences at the Weizmann Institute. Already in the last semester, it became clear that the current approach is not suitable. There is no point giving them beginner assignments; they will just copy them into Copilot and get an answer. Probably, there is no point teaching syntax. I must change my teaching method and integrate tools like Copilot. In this meeting, I will try out the new method. That is, in this experimental session, I will attempt to teach Python to people with no prior background in Python. It is possible that the session will last about 3 hours, but of course, one can always leave in the middle.
