Health, Safety, and Environmental Officer

Qualification Requirements of HSEO: a. Technical diploma in any discipline. b. Diploma in H&S management. c. MOL approval for Safety Officer d. 5 years exposure in safety officer in the sewer field. e. Excellent communication skills in English. f. Valid UAE Driving License. Desirable: a. TAQA SWS HSE Officer approval will be preferred. b. TAQA SWS project experience candidates. Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct daily HSE inspection of work sites and generate report. • Participate in TBT delivery and contribute to supervisor’s work briefings on workplace safety hazards, risks and control measures to be implemented. • Approves and verifies / audits PTW docs daily. • Conduct inspections of plant and equipment, including emergency arrangements at site. • Participate in HSE Meetings including committee meetings and record minutes. • Be well versed with the project HSE Plan and other safety plans and enforce Implementation of its provision at site. • Coordinate with site engineers and site supervisors and counsels on control measures on H&S risks and Environmental impacts. • Conduct risk and impact assessments. • Maintain HSE registers / Logs – incident, risk, legal, trainings, PTW, Drills, Campaign etc. • Conduct specialized internal trainings for workplace hazards involving tools, equipment etc. • Assist in Client, consultant site visits and assist site teams on closing site observations. • Ensure safety sign boards are provided for workplaces. • Monitor detour measures at site. • Plan for HSE Campaigns and contribute to accomplishing the organization’s HSE objectives and targets. • Report and record incidents and assist in generation of incident investigation reports within timeframe. • Communication of lessons learnt across work sites to share learnings. • Ensures site is left unharmed / out of danger at end of work shift. • Any other HSE duties etc.
