Supermarket Manager

We are seeking an experienced Supermarket Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our supermarket in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent supplier management experience, and the ability to ensure smooth operations, sales growth, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily supermarket operations including staff supervision, sales monitoring, and store performance. Handle supplier relations: placing orders, negotiating terms, ensuring timely deliveries, and managing stock levels. Conduct local buying when required to ensure product availability and quality. Oversee sales strategies, merchandising, and promotional activities to drive revenue. Ensure proper inventory management and minimize wastage. Handle basic accounting and cash flow management including daily sales reports and expense tracking. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards. Requirements: Proven experience as a Supermarket Manager / Retail Manager / Operations Manager (minimum 3–5 years). Strong knowledge of retail operations, supply chain, and vendor management. Basic accounting skills and experience in POS systems. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
