Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize lubricant formulations (engine oils, gear oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, etc.) based on performance requirements and market trends. Conduct laboratory testing following ASTM, ISO, and OEM specifications. Perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products. Interpret and troubleshoot results, including wear, oxidation, viscosity, and tribology testing. Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to ensure consistent product performance and process improvement. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on additive technologies, regulatory requirements (REACH, GHS, etc.), and industry developments. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and support product certifications and customer technical inquiries. Assist in pilot runs and plant trials for new formulations or improvements. Ensure compliance with HSE standards and laboratory best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a lubricant formulation or testing role. Proficiency with ASTM/ISO lubricant test methods (e.g., D445, D97, D92, D2896, etc.). Experience with analytical instruments (FTIR, ICP, GC, viscometers, etc.). Familiarity with lubricant additive packages, base oil compatibility, and formulation software/tools is a plus. Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills. Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork abilities.
