Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Executive (Import-Export) to manage and streamline international logistics operations, including customs clearance, DG cargo handling, and vendor management. The role will play a critical part in reducing costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting cross-border business development activities. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement logistics strategies that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs, achieving up to 15% cost savings. • Coordinate and manage import-export procedures in compliance with international trade regulations and UAE customs requirements. • Ensure proper documentation and approvals are in place for Dangerous Goods (DG) cargo shipments and clearance through Dubai Customs. • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with freight forwarders, courier companies, and other logistics service providers. • Negotiate logistics contracts and pricing annually to ensure competitive rates and service excellence. • Develop and maintain logistics tools, including a cost estimation system for shipments within GCC and South Africa, with monthly updates based on fuel surcharges. • Monitor global logistics trends and advise on best practices to enhance international supply chain operations. • Manage the accounting flow related to logistics partners and vendors, particularly with vendors in China. • Prepare regular reports, performance metrics, and actionable insights for senior management review. Required Skills and Competencies: • Strong negotiation skills, especially in logistics contracts and pricing agreements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics data analysis. • In-depth knowledge of Dubai Customs clearance procedures. • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to analyze logistics data and implement cost-effective strategies. • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience in import-export logistics (preferably within GCC region). • Prior experience handling DG cargo and compliance with international shipping regulations. • Working knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, and cross-border freight documentation.
