Role Purpose: Perform a wide range of civil engineering tasks and supervise the construction works carried out by contractors and sub-contractors. Work includes reading construction drawings and ensuring work is done according to them. Key Responsibilities: • Design and analyze drawings, blueprints, and data to plan projects. • Review the structural drawings, specification following construction and government standards at each stage to ensure completeness, correctness, compliance with the scope of work and agreed requirements. • Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications. • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards. • Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site. • Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction. • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labour to determine project feasibility. • Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, or steel. • Development and presentation of engineering design solutions for conceptual, outline, detailed design and construction stage information. • Preparation and / or checking of feasibility studies and detailed design technical reports and other written documents. • Conduct site surveys for development of designs and review of construction work. • Planning, monitoring and reporting of project resources and finances. • Monitoring of change control throughout design and construction stages Key Competencies: • Complex information must be conveyed clearly to ensure efficiency and safety. • Decision-making skills. • Ability to weigh conflicting objectives, such as cost and safety, to ensure the best outcome for projects. • Being a confident and competent decision-maker is an essential skill Measures: • Efficiency in delivery of requirements as per the guidelines of work in alignment with the KPI of each objective and task. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed Quantity Take-offs (QTO), Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize AutoCAD 2D to review, modify, and produce technical drawings and plans. Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress trackers using MS Word and MS Excel. Analyze project specifications, contracts, and drawings to identify cost variations and risks. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on budgets and timelines. Support tender processes, contract administration, and payment certifications. Civil Engineer - G+1 | G+4 Dubai Municipality Approved TARRAB CONTRACTING L.L.C is seeking a highly skilled and Dubai Municipality (DM) G+1 Approved Civil Engineer with proven experience in BUILDING CONSTRUCTION within UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of construction projects—from planning to execution and handover while ensuring full compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities: • Manage submissions and obtain permits/NOCs from authorities including DDA, DM, Trakhees, DEWA, Civil Defense, TECOM, and others. • Prepare and submit detailed approval documentation including architectural drawings, structural modifications, and compliance reports. • Liaise with authority engineers, attend technical meetings, and manage resubmissions or clarifications as required. • Maintain organized logs and trackers for all approval stages, including timelines, requirements, and correspondence. • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and Dubai Municipality inspectors for approvals and inspections. • Ensure proper execution of civil works, including foundation, concrete, and finishing works. • Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering . Key Responsibilities: Assist the Management team in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all project activities on-site. Review structural and architectural drawings and ensure execution aligns with approved plans. Supervise site works for the full project execution. Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines (MEP, HVAC etc.). Monitor progress, prepare daily/weekly reports and ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget. Ensure materials used on-site are as per specifications and approved submittals. Support in the preparation of project documentation such as method statements, shop drawings, BOQs and RFI submissions. Participate in quality inspections, testing, and handing over procedures.
