Fitout project Engineer

1. Review Drawings & Specs: Study architectural, MEP, ID, and structural drawings to understand the scope and ensure coordination. 2. Site Supervision: Monitor daily site activities to ensure proper installation and finishing per approved drawings and materials. 3. Quality Control: Ensure workmanship quality, finishes, and material installation meet the project standards and client requirements. 4. Coordination: • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades (MEP, civil, etc.). • Ensure proper sequencing of work to avoid delays or rework. 5. Material Inspection: • Ensure only approved materials are delivered and used on site. • Check storage and handling to avoid damage or defects. ⸻ Project & Time Management 6. Program Monitoring: Track daily progress against the master schedule. Report delays or risks to the Project Manager. 7. Work Planning: Assist in preparing lookahead schedules and daily task planning with the site team. 8. Snagging & Handover: Identify and rectify snags before handover. Ensure client satisfaction at delivery. ⸻ Documentation & Compliance 9. Site Reports: Submit daily/weekly progress reports, manpower logs, and site observations. 10. Method Statements & Risk Assessments: Assist in preparing and implementing safety and technical procedures. 11. Inspection Requests (IRs): Raise and follow up on IRs for consultant/client inspections. 12. Permit Management: Ensure all required permits (especially for malls, towers, or offices) are in place and updated. ⸻ ‍♂️ Health & Safety 13. Safety Enforcement: Ensure safety protocols are followed by all workers. Report violations or risks immediately. 14. Toolbox Talks: Conduct or assist with regular safety briefings on-site. ⸻ ? Communication & Teamwork 15. Liaison Role: Act as the key technical point between the site, design team, and management. 16. Client & Consultant Interface: Attend site meetings, provide updates, and respond to client/consultant comments on time.
