Civil Estimation Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of construction projects, analyzing project specifications, identifying material, labor, and time requirements, and preparing comprehensive BOQs (Bills of Quantities). Key Responsibilities: Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects. Prepare BOQs and pricing schedules in accordance with project plans. Liaise with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify project scope and resolve discrepancies. Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns for materials, equipment, and labor. Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and ensure competitiveness. Support tendering and bidding processes with technical and cost proposals. Monitor ongoing projects to compare estimated costs with actual expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering options. Stay updated with market rates and construction industry trends. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost estimation within the civil or construction industry. Strong knowledge of civil engineering drawings, construction materials, and methods. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Candy, CostX). Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. UAE experience and knowledge of local pricing is a plus.
