• Develop, maintain, and update the AML/CTF policies, procedures, and internal controls. • Ensure effective implementation of AML policies across all business units. • Supervise and ensure proper implementation of Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) measures. • Review high-risk customer profiles and transactions. • Monitor customer transactions for suspicious activity using risk-based systems and controls. • Investigate anomalies and escalate as necessary. • Receive, evaluate, and investigate internal reports of suspicious activities. • Prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the Financial Intelligence Unit (goAML portal) in a timely manner. • Maintain and update the entity’s registration and user access on the goAML portal. • Serve as the primary point of contact for the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). • Design and conduct periodic AML/CTF training sessions for employees, senior management, and relevant stakeholders. • Promote a culture of compliance and awareness within the organization. • Conduct or coordinate periodic AML compliance audits and reviews. • Address findings and implement corrective actions. • Regularly report to the Board of Directors or senior management on AML compliance status, risk exposures, and STR filings. • Recommend improvements to the AML framework. • Act as the key liaison between the company and regulatory bodies (FIU, Ministry of Economy, etc.) on AML/CTF matters. • Coordinate inspections, audits, or inquiries by regulatory bodies.
