Description

The receptionist is the first point of call for visitors to the school, parents, staff and children. As the ‘face’ of the school the receptionist should be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner. Duties and responsibilities: Reception ▪ To be the first point of contact for visitors to the school, extending a warm welcome to callers – including parents, visitors, contractors and delivery staff. ▪ To deal effectively with telephone calls, transferring callers to relevant staff and taking and passing on messages as required. ▪ To follow safeguarding procedures by issuing passes and lanyards to visitors, ensuring that visitors are signed into the school and checking DBS information for visitors. ▪ Communicating with parents regarding all aspects of school life, receiving and passing on information between parents and teachers in a timely manner with minimum disruption to lessons. ▪ To ensure that the reception area remains tidy and that literature and forms are updated and replenished as necessary. ▪ To receive and sign for all packages and deliveries ▪ To record and post all outgoing mail. Job Summary: We are looking for a creative and patient Baking Instructor to lead fun, hands-on baking classes for children aged 5 to 12 as part of our after-school activities program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking, child development, and teaching, and will create a safe, engaging environment where children can explore, create, and enjoy learning new culinary skills. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver age-appropriate baking sessions, introducing children to basic baking techniques, kitchen safety, and hygiene.
 * Prepare and organize all necessary ingredients and materials for each class.
 * Guide children through recipes in a clear and engaging way, ensuring all children are involved and learning.
 * Encourage creativity, teamwork, and independence through hands-on activities.
 * Supervise and support children throughout the sessions, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
 * Communicate effectively with children, parents, and program coordinators.
 * Manage time efficiently to ensure recipes are completed during the session.
 * Clean and tidy up the workspace after each session, following safety and hygiene protocols.
 Requirements: * Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or recreational setting.
 * Strong knowledge of basic baking techniques and food safety standards.
 * Enthusiastic, patient, and positive attitude.
 * Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
 * Ability to adapt instructions to suit various age groups and learning styles.
 * First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
 * Child safeguarding certification or willingness to complete training.
 * Availability during after-school hours.
 Desirable: * Culinary or baking qualifications (formal or informal).
 * Experience running children’s workshops or classes.
 * Familiarity with allergy-aware baking and inclusive recipes.
 Pay: 150 AED to 250 AED per lesson Days: Monday to Friday Timings: Monday to Thursday: 1:00 to 4:00pm Friday: 11:00 to 1:00pm Car and driving is required
