The role?  The Workshop Manager will oversee and coordinate all operations related to the refurbishment and maintenance of offshore pedestal crane components within the workshop. This role involves managing workshop activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, optimizing productivity, and delivering high-quality services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical systems, leadership capabilities, and a focus on safety and efficiency. Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas Workshop Operations Management:  Plan, schedule, and supervise all refurbishment and maintenance activities for offshore pedestal crane components.  Ensure the efficient use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.  Develop and implement maintenance schedules to meet project deadlines.  Technical Oversight: Inspect and assess the condition of components and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions. Provide technical guidance to workshop teams on mechanical, hydraulic, and structural repair processes. Ensure adherence to quality control standards during all refurbishment activities. Team Leadership:  Lead and manage a team of Supervisors, technicians and support staff.  Conduct regular training sessions to ensure team members are up-to-date on the latest techniques and safety practices.  Motivate staff to maintain high levels of productivity and morale.  Inventory and Asset Management:  Maintain accurate records of inventory, tools, and equipment.  Coordinate procurement of spare parts and materials required for refurbishment projects.  Monitor the condition of workshop tools and equipment, ensuring timely calibration and servicing.  Client and Stakeholder Coordination:  Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding refurbishment projects.  Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, and budgets.  Ensure client specifications and requirements are met with high-quality outcomes.  Reporting and Documentation:  Prepare and present detailed reports on workshop activities, including work completed, resource utilization, and performance metrics.  Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance and refurbishment processes.  Requirements Essential:  Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.  Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in workshop management, preferably within the oil and gas or heavy machinery sector.  Technical Knowledge: Expertise in offshore pedestal cranes, including structural components, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies.  Familiarity with international standards such as API, ISO, and DNV for crane refurbishment.  Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and leading multidisciplinary teams.  HSE Knowledge: Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the oil and gas sector.  Good in English language (reading, writing and communication skills).   Good working knowledge of MS Office programs.   Behaviors and Personal Qualities: Essential:  Excellent organizational and time management skills.  Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  Effective communication and interpersonal skills.  Proficiency in using workshop management software and tools.  Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.  Self-motivated.   Good Communication Skills   High standards of workmanship   Work Environment:  Based in a workshop environment with occasional site visits to offshore platforms as needed.  Must be flexible to work extended hours and manage on-call responsibilities during critical projects.

Proficient in MS Office suite of applications (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT, etc.) Expert in Engineering systems such as AMOS, RAMCO, TRAX, etc. Minimum of TEN years of total aircraft maintenance experience out of which, minimum 3 years as a certifying staff. Job Purpose The Engineering Projects section specializes in evaluating, specifying, and negotiating new and used aircraft acquisitions. We oversee the entire process, from initial evaluation and assembly inspection to final delivery and acceptance. We develop detailed specifications for aircraft and new system installations, including Passenger Entertainment and Connectivity Services (IFE) and Cabin Interiors. Our team ensures that all regulatory requirements, safety standards, functionality, and maintainability are met for each aircraft's entry into service. As a Project Engineer, you will provide technical expertise during the design and development of Emirates aircraft products in their respective fields i.e. Avionics, In Flight Entertainment (IFE), Cabin Interior, Airframe systems, Power Plant Engineering and Structure. To specify the Emirates aircraft definition to ensure that they are correctly configured prior to delivery and that all Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) and Seller Furnished Equipment (SFE) programmes are delivered as per the specification and on time. In this role, you will: Evaluate information from various sources including Vendors, in house experience of in-service equipment and industry research/developments, in order to facilitate the selection of BFE (i.e. IFE , communication/navigation equipment, galleys and seats etc.) in future aircraft. Prepare recommendations for the introduction of new equipment selection for both future and in-service fleets, taking into account new trends within the industry. Participate in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), airline working groups to steer aircraft Interior design and other equipment specifications to EK needs / benefit. Closely liaise with other stakeholders to ensure that any approved requirements for on-board features and functionalities are met. Participate with management to negotiate technical and commercial aspects of specific changes. Continuously review regulatory requirements that are being introduced in the industry for implementation in the specifications of future fleet. Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth introduction of new aircraft at `Transfer of Title' and entry into operation. Review delivery updates during production process for any commitment letter items that needs to be addressed with the delivery manager for each newly introduced aircraft. Conduct research and feasibility studies, provide recommendations to optimize aircraft operations and improve the passenger experience in Cabin for the introductions of the future EK fleet. Assist the project team members in preparing budget requirements for new programs and suggesting recommendations. Assist Manager Aircraft Acceptance during final cabin acceptance and various inspections, design reviews. To also carry out post airplane delivery inspection before entry into Service. Develop, assist and coach you project team members and ensure project delivery. Qualification To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aeronautical Engineering and/or holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence. Experience of 10+ years in aircraft engineering preferably with 5 years in projects Aircraft Delivery related profession. Thorough knowledge of the latest technical developments in Airframe, Power Plant, Avionics, IFE Equipment, Cabin equipment and installations and industry trends of future changes.
