Patient Coordinator

Location:  Al Wasl Road - Jumeirah 1, Dubai, UAE or Al Barsha 2 - Grove Mall, Dubai, UAE Job Overview: The Pharmacist will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care, optimizing medication management, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficacy in treatments for diabetes and related conditions. Key Responsibilities: Medication Management and Optimization: Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with evidence-based guidelines. Provide personalized medication counseling to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and proper medication use. Clinical Support: Assist healthcare providers with selecting appropriate medications based on clinical guidelines and patient-specific factors. Support the management of complex cases involving polypharmacy or drug interactions. Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure all medications are stored, prepared, and dispensed in compliance with UAE regulations and facility policies. Monitor and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors. Stay updated on new pharmaceutical developments and changes in regulatory requirements. Education and Training: Act as a resource for patients and staff on diabetes-related pharmaceutical care. Quality Improvement: Participate in audits, quality assurance programs, and initiatives to improve medication safety and patient outcomes. Analyze and report clinical outcomes related to pharmacotherapy. Requirements Requirements Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution. Valid DHA license as a Clinical Pharmacist. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy role, preferably in diabetes care or chronic disease management. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, diabetes medications, and patient education strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with patient counseling and disease education. Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and electronic medical records (EMR). Certification in diabetes education or management is a plus.

Key Responsibilities: ✅ Manage therapist schedules and ensure optimal utilization of therapy slots. ✅ Monitor therapy sessions and coordinate with parents for feedback and progress updates. ✅ Handle client registrations, payment follow-ups, and documentation with confidentiality. ✅ Support billing, insurance claim processes, and DHA/ licensing documentation as needed. ✅ Maintain clinic supplies and ensure therapy rooms are organized and prepared for sessions. ✅ Support marketing and event organization for center outreach and parent workshops. Requirements: ✔ Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred). ✔ Experience in a clinical or therapy setting (speech/OT/behavior therapy environment an advantage). ✔ Strong organizational and multitasking skills. ✔ Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus). ✔ Proficiency in using clinic management software, Google Workspace/Excel for scheduling and reporting. ✔ Empathy, patience, and professionalism when working with families and children. Monitor treatment outcomes, adjust medications, and provide preventive and lifestyle-oriented advice. Support patients in their diabetes education and self-management journey. Ensure thorough documentation in the electronic medical records system and comply with GluCare’s clinical protocols and standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case discussions, and training sessions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on clinical guidelines and innovations in endocrinology and chronic care. Understand, follow and support all hospital infection control programs  Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Medical degree from a recognized institution. DHA License or Eligibility Letter as General Practitioner (GP) Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in the UAE. Demonstrated interest or experience in endocrinology or diabetes management is highly preferred. Prior experience in a multidisciplinary or tech-enabled healthcare environment is a plus.
