Global Software Solutions Group FZ-LLC is seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Aani Developer to lead the development, integration, and implementation of Aani-based instant payment services. The role is central to supporting our participation in the CBUAE’s National Payment Systems Strategy (NPSS) through seamless enablement of the UAE Instant Payment Platform – Aani, covering its Core Services, Overlay Services, and Value-Added Services (VAS). The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience with Aani APIs, ISO 20022 message formats, proxy-based payments, and end-to-end customer onboarding via the Aani White Label App. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of Aani Core and Overlay services, ensuring full compliance with Al Etihad Payments (AEP) specifications and guidelines. Design, build, and integrate real-time credit transfer services that utilize Aani Core components with support for clearing and settlement via real-time and batch modes. Implement Aani Overlay Services, including: Payment with Proxy (mobile, email, Emirates ID) Request to Pay (RtP) eMandates (eDDA) eCheques QR-based P2M Payments (static and dynamic QR) Split Bill & P2P transfers Work on customer enrolment flows, managing the association between proxy identifiers and default payment accounts. Integrate and support the Aani White Label App (WLA) for customer onboarding and authentication, and implement secure redirection flows to financial institutions for strong customer authentication (SCA). Collaborate with product managers, compliance, security, and DevOps teams to ensure the solution meets CBUAE and AEP standards. Utilize Aani VAS tools such as analytics, CRM portals, billing systems, and case management modules to enable monitoring, operational efficiency, and issue resolution. Maintain robust technical documentation, API specs, and test artifacts for use during certification and audit processes. Lead and mentor junior developers in secure API design, ISO 20022 messaging, and instant payments architecture. Requirements Minimum 5+ years of experience in digital payment platforms, with 2–3 years specifically on Aani or NPSS-aligned systems. In-depth understanding of: Aani Core Services – Real-time credit transfers, clearing, settlement mechanisms. Aani Overlay Services – Proxy resolution, RTP, eDDA, eCheque, QR Payments. Value-Added Services – Reporting, CRM, billing, and analytics tools provided by AEP. Strong experience with ISO 20022 standards, RESTful APIs, and real-time payment protocols. Proficiency in one or more backend languages: Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, with API development and integration expertise. Experience integrating OAuth2.0, Mutual TLS, digital signature validation, and SCA flows in banking applications. Hands-on experience with Aani White Label App (WLA) integration and customer enrolment architecture. Familiarity with AEP certification processes, simulators, and test environments. Experience working with UAE-based banks, financial institutions, or licensed PSPs. Exposure to CBUAE regulatory frameworks, including AML/CFT, data protection, and operational resilience. Experience in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes). Certification or training in ISO 20022, Payments Security, or Instant Payment Systems.
