Quantity Surveyor - Cost Controller PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A ROLE FOR THE FINANCE TEAM Responsibilities: - Record and manage costs associated with manpower, materials, equipment, machinery, and subcontractors. - Perform accurate and timely quantity surveying. - Implement cost control measures to support project managers in achieving commercial targets. - Provide support for landscaping and waterscape projects with precise quantity take-offs. - Assist with project and purchase tasks to ensure commercial success. - Prepare and submit variation orders, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, rate analysis, and all necessary documentation, in coordination with project managers. - Conduct periodic meetings with project managers, construction managers, and site engineers to discuss and resolve commercial issues. - Collaborate with project managers, accounts managers, and operations managers to update the status of certification, collection targets, and any issues. - Control and monitor costs through detailed cost reports. -Track budgets and cash flow, providing regular updates. - Prepare and maintain a payment log, collection report, and variation master schedule. - Advise purchasers on material specifications, supplier options, and subcontractor information. - Review and approve material requisition forms (MRFs) and local purchase orders (LPOs). - Verify and approve subcontractor payment certificates in coordination with project managers. - Verify subcontractor interim payment applications and prepare payment certificates. - Prepare and review proforma and tax invoices in a timely manner. - Analyze invoice certification targets versus actual achievements. - Implement cost control measures, including value engineering, even when projects are within budget. - Prepare and review markup drawings and quantity take-offs for interim payment applications. - Ensure timely preparation and submission of interim payment applications. Requirement: 5-7 Years of Experience in contracting field in UAE Experience with landscaping and waterscape projects is a plus. Bachelors in Engineering.

Job Description – Quantity Surveyor   Pre-Contract Preparation of Budget/Cost Estimates. Extract and prepare BOQs from project drawings, specifications, and site conditions. Conduct detailed quantity take-offs to ensure accuracy in material, labour, plants and machineries cost estimation. Review tender documents, BOQs, and contract agreements. A Master’s Degree or Professional Certification (MRICS or equivalent) is an advantage but not mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and flexible to work 6 days a week. In depth knowledge of UAE construction market and FIDIC. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
