Accounting Assistant - Tax Compliance and General Finance

Job Description The role will focus on day-to-day bookkeeping, financial closing and reporting, cash flows, and payment requests. It will also support overall finance operations of the company, with a focus on ensuring tax compliance, including preparing tax filings and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities - Accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, chart of accounts, manual journals, financial closing and reporting, reconciliation of petty cash, credit card, and bank transactions - Project invoicing and collections management - Handling banking activities such as transfers, guarantees, LC, fixed deposits, cash withdrawals - Tax compliance handling tax registrations, filing returns, processing refunds, and ensuring adherence to tax regulations - Financial Audits Requirements - University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 2-3 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably with VAT compliance experience Strong - Knowledge of GCC accounting standards and tax regulations - Familiarity with VAT returns, registrations, and refunds - Fluent in English with strong communication skills - Proactive, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision - Proficient in MS Office applications - Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure - High attention to detail and strong organizational skills - UAE Driver's License preferred Benefits - UAE Residence Visa and Individual Health Insurance to be sponsored by the company
