JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations within our oil and gas business. The role involves financial reporting, cost tracking, compliance, and analysis, with a strong focus on operational expenses related to fuel trading, logistics, and infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely billing and collections. 2.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. 3.Track and monitor fuel purchases, inventory movements, and transport costs. 4.Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. 5.Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations. 6.Support annual audits and internal financial reviews. 7.Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. 8.Maintain fixed asset registers and monitor depreciation schedules. 9.Ensure proper accounting treatment for fuel deliveries, bunkering, and depot operations. 10.Maintain accurate financial records and uphold internal control standards. QUALIFICATIONS: >Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. >Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in oil, gas, or energy. >Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP). >Strong knowledge of VAT and UAE financial regulations. >Excellent Excel and data analysis skills. >Accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail are essential. PREFERRED: >Experience in diesel trading or fuel depot accounting. >Knowledge of cost allocation across projects or operational divisions. >Familiarity with regulatory bodies in the UAE oil & gas sector.
