In pursuit of redefining the compact SUV concept, Fattim Toyota has announced the launch of its new vehicle, the Riz, across Middle Eastern markets.
The new Toyota Riz measures approximately four meters in length, making it ideal for those seeking greater cargo space, enhanced safety—hallmarks of SUVs—and the smooth driving experience characteristic of compact vehicles. Designed as a dynamic, practical, and compact solution, the Riz delivers world-class mobility in all driving conditions, whether for weekend getaways or daily commutes. Every aspect of the vehicle has been newly developed, including its platform and drivetrain, to maximize performance, comfort, and safety.
The Toyota Riz is offered with two engine options: a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering smooth acceleration, quick response, 97 horsepower, and 140 Newton-meters of torque; and a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine providing an excellent balance between power and fuel efficiency, generating 87 horsepower and 113 Newton-meters of torque. Both engines are paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that mimics a seven-speed sequential gearbox, ensuring strong, seamless acceleration from startup and at low speeds. Enhanced chassis rigidity and a newly developed suspension system contribute to exceptional handling, stability, and ride comfort. The vehicle also boasts high maneuverability, with a turning radius of just 4.9 meters.
The spacious interior features practical amenities such as an 8-inch multimedia display integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a USB port on the main unit allowing passengers to connect external media devices, a four-speaker audio system, a powerful air conditioning system, and a 60/40 foldable rear seat. Parents also benefit from added peace of mind thanks to Toyota’s ISOFIX safety system, which securely anchors child seats.
The compact Riz features a generous cargo area measuring 1,000 mm in width, 865 mm in height, and 755 mm in length. It includes a movable, adjustable flat floor to offer flexible storage solutions tailored to various customer needs. With the floor in its lowest position, the vehicle achieves a class-leading 369-liter cargo capacity.
Safety remains a top priority, consistent with other Toyota models. The Riz is equipped with advanced safety systems, including dual front airbags with Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Hill Start Assist (HAC), rear fog lights, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and additional safety technologies.
