Ford has announced the arrival of the all-new, most powerful Golf R model in the Middle East region. This completely redesigned vehicle stands at the pinnacle of Volkswagen's R performance lineup, equipped with a 2-liter TSI engine producing 320 horsepower, a sport suspension system, and the 4MOTION full-wheel drive system. This combination delivers the power drivers need anytime, anywhere, with exceptional control and comfort. Interested customers can now reserve the car starting at $49,709 (exclusive of VAT).
The all-new Golf R is a true icon in the driving world, raising performance standards and setting new benchmarks in its class thanks to its exceptional dynamics, sleek appearance, and premium features. It is the first Golf model to feature the new 4MOTION full-wheel drive system paired with R Performance Torque Vectoring, enabling selective torque distribution to the rear axle. This innovative drivetrain enhances responsiveness, traction, and dynamic handling—especially through corners—giving drivers maximum control, precision, and ultimate driving pleasure.
The all-new Golf R shines with distinctive exterior features, including satin chrome side mirrors and illuminated R logos that appear when the doors open. The car sits 20 mm lower than the standard Golf model. Available in three exclusive colors: Labiz Blue Metallic (specifically designed for the R model), Pure White, and Dark Pearl Black.
Blue-painted brake calipers on optional 19-inch alloy wheels add further elegance and visual appeal to the new Golf R. Wheel options include 19-inch Adelaide alloy wheels, 18-inch Gereis alloy wheels, and 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels available in either glossy black or solid black finishes.
The interior has also been upgraded with exclusive high-performance sports seats, a newly developed DSG transmission optimized for driver comfort, and an R button for instant access to various driving modes. Technologically, the Golf R comes equipped with the latest systems specially developed for this model, including a 10-inch infotainment display and digital cockpit.
Performance enthusiasts can order the Golf R with the optional Performance Package, which includes a larger, more prominent rear spoiler to increase downforce on the rear axle, 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels (also available in solid black), and two additional driving modes: Special Mode (Nürburgring-specific) and Drift Mode. Driving modes can be quickly accessed by pressing the R button on the steering wheel. Additional optional features include adaptive chassis control. For the first time in the Middle East, the new Golf R offers the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system as an option—lighter by seven kilograms and allowing customizable exhaust sound.
