ROX Motors, the official distributor of the ROX electric brand in the UAE, has delivered several ROX 01 electric vehicles to the Ras Al Khaimah Police Force as part of an initiative to modernize patrol fleets with sustainable, environmentally friendly vehicles.
The handover took place during an official ceremony attended by senior officials from Ras Al Khaimah Police and representatives from ROX Motors, where the specially adapted patrol version of the ROX 01 was unveiled.
The ROX 01, first introduced in the UAE last year, is an electric SUV powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that acts as a range extender, enabling a combined driving range exceeding 1,100 kilometers. The vehicle delivers a maximum output of 470 horsepower and up to 740 Newton-meters of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
The customized versions for Ras Al Khaimah Police are equipped with dedicated emergency lighting, advanced communication systems, and a distinctive exterior design featuring the police red and white color scheme, tailored for patrol duties and rapid response operations.
This collaboration marks one of the first deployments of electric vehicles within the police fleet in the emirate, underscoring Ras Al Khaimah’s commitment to sustainable mobility and improved energy efficiency across government agencies.
