The new 911 Sport Classic is the second of four vehicles introduced by Porsche under its "Heritage Design" strategy, aimed at classic car enthusiasts. The Exclusive Manufaktur division will produce a limited run of 1,250 units, reviving design elements from the 1960s and early 1970s. Like its predecessor, the 911 Sport Classic inspired by the 997 model launched in 2009, this new version draws inspiration from the original 911 (1964–1973) and the legendary 911 Carrera RS 2.7, introduced in 1972.
Porsche Design also offers a premium watch exclusively to customers purchasing this new customized model. The timepiece incorporates key design features from the 911 Sport Classic. Additionally, selected interior components from the new 911 Sport Classic will be available for most current 911 models through the "Heritage Design Classic" package.
The new 911 Sport Classic stands out with its elegant, distinctive styling—featuring a widened body inspired by the 911 Turbo models, a fixed rear wing with the iconic "ducktail" profile from the legendary 911 Carrera RS 2.7, and the signature double-bubble roof design.
The interior showcases pioneering Bapeeta-style door trim and center seat panels. The contrast between black and cognac leather upholstery, paired with the exterior color, enhances the cabin’s refined elegance.
Under the hood, the new model features a unique powertrain: a 3.7-liter horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with twin turbochargers, delivering 405 kilowatts (550 PS) to the rear wheels. It comes equipped with a seven-speed manual transmission, making it the most powerful manual 911 currently available.
The transmission includes an auto-blip function that automatically adjusts engine speed during gear changes, ensuring smooth downshifts. The standard sports exhaust system has been specifically tuned for this model to deliver an exhilarating driving soundtrack.
The suspension system is based on that of the 911 Turbo and 911 GTS, meeting high-performance demands thanks to Porsche's Adaptive Suspension Management system as standard. This system rapidly responds to dynamic changes, adjusting dampers in real time. The car also features the standard Adaptive Suspension Management system combined with a sport suspension setup, lowering the ride height by 10 mm.
