The Gulf Automotive Center, one of the UAE's leading exclusive agents for luxury car brands, has signed an agreement with the renowned Geely Automobile brand, making it the authorized distributor for Geely’s sedan and multi-purpose SUV lineup across the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement was signed by Yan Veltun, Managing Director at Al-Bathaa Holding, Sheikh Mohamed Al-Qasmi, Regional Director of the Gulf Automotive Center, Shui Tao (Kok), Deputy General Manager at Geely Global Automobiles, and Chiu Sai (Alex), Deputy General Manager for Geely Middle East, during a ceremony held at Dubai Harbour Golf & Yacht Club. This milestone precedes the opening of the Gulf Automotive Center’s first flagship Geely showroom and after-sales service center in Dubai this May, with additional facilities scheduled to open in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah later this year.
Three of Geely’s most popular models will be launched in the initial phase of this new partnership: the Geely Coolray, a compact crossover SUV; the elegant sedan Emgrand; and the pioneering all-electric Geomeetrie C.
The Geely Coolray, a B-segment compact SUV, offers the perfect balance of design, performance, technology, and safety. Designed as one of the region’s most popular crossover vehicles, it delivers a comprehensive driving experience, featuring the best transmission system in its class, along with advanced technologies such as the Leishen Power Engine, BMA Architecture platform, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
The Emgrand model provides a comfortable driving experience with its low and wide stance, distinctive rear lighting, and Geely’s signature BMA architecture. The fully electric Geomeetrie C serves as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fuel-powered vehicles, equipped with industry-leading battery technology, an electric motor, and advanced electrical control systems that ensure effortless handling across various driving scenarios and deliver exceptional driving range.
Chiu Sai (Alex) expressed enthusiasm about the promising collaboration, stating: “Launching Geely in the UAE accelerates the realization of our global ‘Be Brand New’ vision.
