Nissan has launched the new 2023 Altima in the Middle East, featuring a comprehensive design refresh for the popular midsize sedan. The latest version now boasts a redesigned front end, along with expanded safety and technology features offered as standard. This move underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to technological advancement and the continuous evolution of its sedan lineup tailored for customers across the region.
The 2023 Nissan Altima is engineered to enhance driving pleasure through innovative aesthetic upgrades that amplify the car’s signature appeal while honoring its decades-long legacy in the region. A new 12.3-inch display highlights the sedan’s advanced technological capabilities, including the ProPILOT system and Nissan Safety Shield 360, both available as standard. The 2023 Altima is offered in four trims—S, Sport, SV, and SL—with front-wheel drive and two engine options.
A new exclusive exterior color for the Sport trim in 2023 is Ethos Grey, joining other premium finishes such as Scarlet Ember Tintcoat red, metallic silver, Grey Sky Pearl, deep black, burgundy, pearl white, snow white, and dark pearl blue.
Inside, the 2023 Altima cabin exudes luxury through refined design and high-quality materials. All trims feature updated instrument panel accents, a new dual-embroidered interior fabric, and carbon fiber inserts on the Sport model. The cabin delivers exceptional comfort and connectivity, including a 7-inch advanced driver assistance display, seats inspired by NASA’s zero-gravity concept made from dual-density foam, leather upholstery, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Key upgrades for the 2023 model include a high-resolution 12.3-inch color touchscreen with multi-touch controls, wireless Apple CarPlay standard on SV and SL trims, and for the first time in Nissan’s lineup in the Middle East—and among D-segment sedans in the region—wireless Android Auto availability on SV and SL trims.
The new 12.3-inch display offers sharp visuals and a customizable main screen with user shortcuts and one-line destination search. Audio and entertainment options include a Bose sound system with nine speakers and active noise cancellation. Standard USB-A and USB-C ports enhance connectivity, while wireless charging is available on select trims.
The 2023 Altima is available with two engine options: a 2.0-liter variable compression turbocharged four-cylinder VC-Turbo engine and a 2.5-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine.
The 2.0L VC-Turbo engine is exclusively available in the Altima SL with front-wheel drive, delivering 248 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. Nissan’s VC-Turbo technology seamlessly adjusts the engine’s compression ratio between 8:1 (for high performance) and 14:1 (for maximum efficiency), using multi-point injection and direct fuel injection. The advanced multi-link system continuously adjusts piston movement to maintain optimal compression ratios.
All Altima models are equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 188 horsepower and 244 Nm of torque. The Xtronic CVT® transmission is standard across all trims. Manual shift paddles are standard on the Sport trim and the SL trim equipped with the 2.0L VC-Turbo engine.
The 2023 Altima continues to lead in driver-assistance systems, now featuring Nissan’s advanced ProPILOT system standard on the SL trim and optional on the SV trim. Utilizing front-facing camera and radar, sensors, and electronic control units, the system helps keep the vehicle centered in its lane, maintains the set speed, and preserves a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. It can also automatically slow down and bring the car to a complete stop during traffic congestion.
