The 2025 Nissan Patrol was unveiled globally for the first time in the UAE. Although the launch is worldwide, no region matches the Gulf countries in terms of Patrol ownership—something Nissan factored into the design of the latest version.
Exterior
The Y63 Patrol features a completely new body with increased dimensions, gaining 35 mm in both length and width compared to its predecessor.
The front end showcases a more prominent V-motion grille paired with dual C-shaped headlights. The side profile bears resemblance to the Y62 Patrol, with the window line between the C and D pillars now higher. The C and D pillars are painted black, giving the roof a floating appearance. The rear adopts the Y61 design with vertical taillights.

As with the previous generation, the Y63 Patrol offers two types of bumpers: one optimized for off-road driving with improved approach angles, and another tailored for daily commuting. The top-tier model comes equipped with 22-inch aluminum wheels.
Interior
Interior changes are even more noticeable, featuring two 14.3-inch screens on the dashboard—one for vehicle information and the other for infotainment and navigation.
Enhanced sound insulation between the engine and cabin contributes to a quieter, more serene interior environment. For the first time in the Patrol lineup, a panoramic sunroof is available.

The gear shift lever has been replaced with black piano-style buttons labeled P, R, N, D. For the first time in the Patrol series, paddle shifters have been added. Higher trims include massage-enabled seats—a new feature in the model’s history.
The 2025 Patrol comes with Nissan Connect integrated with Google, offering crucial navigation benefits thanks to recent map updates. You can also use Google Assistant to control the system via voice commands, such as making calls or adjusting the climate settings.

The Nissan app can now be used directly from the vehicle, allowing remote control of various functions like starting the car, turning lights on or off, and opening or closing windows.
The app also includes a 'Find My Car' feature, useful if you’ve misplaced your vehicle in a shopping mall. Additional features send alerts if a door or window is left open unintentionally.
Y63 Patrol Engine Specifications
Two new engines are available: the base unit is a 3.8-liter V6 producing 316 horsepower and 386 Nm of torque, achieving a fuel efficiency of 9.7 km/L.
The second option is a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine delivering 425 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, with a fuel economy of 10.1 km/L.
Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The 2025 Patrol also features six selectable drive modes for diverse driving conditions.

Testing in the UAE
Most testing took place in Abu Dhabi, including rigorous trials in the harsh desert conditions of Liwa to evaluate the vehicle’s enhanced capabilities. A larger cooling system was installed to handle extreme heat. For the first time, the Patrol features an air suspension system, improving comfort on both paved roads and rough terrain. The ride height can be lowered for easier entry and exit—ideal for children and elderly passengers—or raised to boost performance on off-road surfaces.
